In-Demand Occupations Overview

Some Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) have specific streams that are targeted to candidates with work experience in a specific occupation, which is in-demand in that particular province. When this is the case, there is usually no need to hold a job offer in order to be eligible to the stream. However, only a few provinces have these kinds of streams, and sometimes there are other factors that would prohibit a candidate living and working outside of Canada from applying.

This article will let you know the occupations that are in-demand in the provinces, if applicable. Click below on the province you are interested in.

Saskatchewan In-Demand Occupations

Saskatchewan PNP – Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand streams

Saskatchewan (SINP) has 2 streams (the Saskatchewan Express Entry and the Occupation In-Demand streams) that do not require a job offer to be eligible, but candidates need to (i) score at least 60 points on the assessment grid, and (ii) receive an invitation to apply (which depends on the cutoff score and the candidate’s occupation/NOC code).

As of September 18, 2019, the SINP has increased by around 200 the number of eligible occupations in its list of in-demand occupations. However, having work experience in one of the NOC codes below does not necessarily mean that you will receive an invitation from the SINP.

Below is the list of in-demand NOC codes for the two SINP streams (if a licence and/or education are required, you can check the requirements in the Saskatchewan Express Entry and the Occupation In-Demand streams guides).
