The NBPNP (New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program) allows the immigration office of NB to select foreign immigration candidates who satisfy to the target criteria established by the province and who want to contribute economically to the province. The nominated candidates are then presented to the federal government of Canada to apply to become permanent residents.

The NBPNP is one of Canada’s Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP), with streams for skilled workers (including one that is aligned with Express Entry), and others for entrepreneur.

Choosing New Brunswick Immigration

New Brunswick, located at the east of Canada, is one of the four Atlantic provinces of Canada. Being a coastal province, New Brunswick has some of the best beaches in Canada. The province is actively looking for immigrants to settle in their province, since the trend in population growth in downward in New Brunswick.

Apart from some federal programs, New Brunswick proposes its own immigration streams. Only one of the NBPNP streams are Express Entry aligned, and the rest of them are not.

In case of a successful application for the Express Entry aligned stream, a provincial nomination is issued which will lead to receiving 600 additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. This, in turn, will head the applicant towards obtaining an invitation to apply (ITA) in the following Express Entry draw

Concerning the other non-aligned Express Entry streams, there is no need to be in the pool. There are streams for Skilled Workers with job offers in New Brunswick, and for entrepreneurs already established in the province or foreigners wishing to invest their money in the province as well.
